TSU anthropologists are studying and comparing the urban infrastructure in Tomsk and Irkutsk

TSU anthropologists are studying and comparing
the urban infrastructure in Tomsk and Irkutsk,
which migrants use in their everyday life:
hospitals, hairdresser’s, schools. Scientists note
that, in Tomsk, there are more academic migrants,
on the other hand, labor migrants, as a rule, work
in the food service industry. In Irkutsk, there are
quite a lot of “migrant” markets, and migrants
mostly work as sellers and taxi drivers.
